"Clinton’s conference call, made up of Rep. Jim McGovern (D), former Assistant Secretary of State James Rubin, and the campaign’s National Security Director Lee Feinstein, suggested that Obama and Clinton shared the exact same record on the Iraq War. Citing Obama’s statement in 2002 that he would oppose funding for the war and his record thereafter when he voted to fund it, McGovern said : "Sen. Obama said at that time he was so convinced because he thought war was wrong he would oppose funding for the war. That statement was not followed through in all the time he was a senator... He proceeded to vote for all of the funding authorizations." (Up until last year.)"
