Dear Dick, Thank you for enlightening me about the usage of « fanny ». Nonetheless, I find the image offensive.

Surely the point could be made without such vulgarity ?To have to gaxe upon such an image was revolting to me. Maybe my sensibilities differ from those of most French readers...

As for a ’pseudo’, that is my actual name. The origin is German. (My fisrt ancestors to America were English who came to Massachusetts in the 1670’s....in the mid-1800’s one woman married a German man in the Midwest...and, in turn ,all German men married Irish women, on both my mother and father’s families, for the last 150 years...finally reaching the usual dream : the West, where I was born and raised in San Francisco.)

Its the usual story of the melting pot...full of characters, follies, bravery, romance,etc. (This summer I hope to travel to Lead in the Dakotas and research one of my grandmothers’ childhood in a small mining town...before the turn of the century...1880-1898),- and maybe,- just maybe,— I will try and write a biography of her life.

So, no- the pseudo is not to dupe you...I cannot be bothered with pseudos...
