Cet article est effectivement excellent et on pourrait développer quelques points qui semblent cruciaux sur la commission officielle et qui pourraient justifier une nouvelle enquête réellement indépendante cette fois :

Sa mise en place :

« Although independent investigations began within weeks of both Pearl Harbor and the Kennedy assassination, the same was not true of the attacks of September 11th. Most are unaware that formation of the 9/11 Commission was strongly opposed by many in Washington, including the Bush administration. It was only due to pressure from the 9/11 families, led by a particular twelve calling themselves the Family Steering Committee, that, fourteen months after the attacks, the first hearing finally began. These twelve remained active in monitoring the Commission’s investigation, providing a list of hundreds of specific, well-researched questions to the Commissioners. In the end, the Final Report failed to answer seventy percent of them. »

Les conflits d’intérêts :

« Originally, President Bush appointed Henry Kissinger, famous for his role in cover-ups and widely considered a war criminal, as chairman of the Commission. However, Kissinger soon stepped down in order to avoid answering questions about potential conflicts of interest, which would have required him to disclose secret clients. »

« Chairs Kean and Hamilton served as the public face of the Commission. Their conflicts of interest should be concern enough, but the real work of the Commission was in the hands of Philip Zelikow, a fact documented by David Ray Griffin, in his book devoted to exposing biases, omissions, and distortions in the Commission : The 9/11 Commission Report ; Omissions and Distortions. »

"Griffin enumerates some of Zelikow’s many connections to the Bush White House :

Member of the National Security Council of the Bush I administration ;; ;; Aid to National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft under Bush I ;; ;;Co-Author of book with Condoleezza Rice, National Security Advisor for Bush II ;; ;;Director of Aspen Strategy Group, to which Rice, Scowcroft, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz belonged ;; ;;Member of Clinton to Bush II transition team ;; ;;Member of Bush II’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, until being appointed to 9/11 Commission

Because of the determinative role of Philip Zelikow in the Commission’s work, Griffin dubbed the Commission’s final report the « Kean-Zelikow Report. »

"In addition, many members had ties which could be viewed as conflicts of interest.

Thomas Kean has a history of investments that link him to Saudi Arabian investors who have financially supported both George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden in the past. One example is his former business connections to Khalid bin Mahfouz, an alleged terrorist financier. He was also at one point or still is on the board of Pepsi Bottling, Amerada Hess, UnitedHealth Group, CIT Group and Aramark ;; ;;Fred F. Fielding has done legal work for two of Bush’s leading « Pioneer » fund-raisers. Fielding also works for a law firm lobbying for Spirit Airlines and United Airlines ;; ;;Slade Gorton has close ties to Boeing, which built all the planes destroyed on 9/11, and his law firm represents several major airlines, including Delta Air Lines ;; ;;James Thompson is the head of a law firm that lobbies for American Airlines, and he has previously represented United Airlines ;; ;;Richard Ben-Veniste has represented Democratic National Chairman Terry McAuliffe, and continues to represent Boeing and United Airlines ;; ;;Max Cleland, former U.S. Senator, has received $300,000 from the airline industry. He publicly complained about the White House’s refusal to cooperate, then was appointed head of the U.S. Export/Import Bank by the president and resigned from the Commission ;; ;;Lee Hamilton sits on many advisory boards, including those to the CIA, the President’s Homeland Security Advisory Council, The United States Commission on National Security, and the US Army ;; ;;Tim Roemer represents Boeing and Lockheed Martin ;; ;;Jamie Gorelick’s firm has agreed to represent Prince Mohammed al Faisal in the suit by the 9/11 families. The families contend that al Faisal has legal responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. According to Attorney General John Ashcroft in his testimony before the commission, Gorelick wrote a procedural memo that would have prevented communication between various government agencies (the « wall memo »).[4] She also is on the board of United Technologies."

Les conditions pour que Bush et Cheney acceptent de témoigner :

« They would be allowed to testify jointly ;; ;;They would not be required to take an oath before testifying ;; ;;The testimony would not be recorded electronically or transcribed, and that the only record would be notes taken by one of the commission staffers ;; ;;These notes would not be made public. »

Après, il y a évidemment le rapport proprement dit avec ses mensonges, contradictions et ommissions.
