Vous n’avez pas lu Finkelstein pour déconsidérer ainsi ses travaux ni ceux de centaines de ses collègues !

« On a suspecté le vaccin de l’hépatite B comme une cause éventuelle de maladie sauto-immunes,y compris thyroïdiennes. Quelques cas de Basedow ou de thyroïdite de Hashimoto après vaccination hépatite B ont été signalés au « Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System » (VAERS)aux Etats-Unis. Pour valider cette hypothèse, une équipe américaine a réalisé une étude cas-témoin étudiant l’association entre vaccination hépatite B et risque de survenue de Basedow ou de thyroïdite de Hashimoto.Les auteurs ont aussi étudié le risque de survenue de la maladie auto-immune de la thyroïde chez les patients vaccinés depuis moins d’un an, depuis 1 à 5 ans et depuis plus de 5 ans. 773 cas (355 Basedow et 418 thyroïdites de Hashimoto) et 1102 témoins, appariés par sexe, année de naissance et région d’étude, ont été inclus. Cette étude ne montre pas d’association entre la vaccination hépatite B et le risque de survenue de Basedow (OR, 0,90 ; IC95%, 0,62-1,32) ou de thyroïdite (OR, 1,23 ; IC95%, 0,87-1,73). »
