Please pardon my English. I really enjoyed the article. It is good to have someone with an open mind say these things. Lance told the USA Today yesterday that part of his concern with the things Mr. Amaury and others have said relate to his safety on the road. In his last two years of the Tour, he had death threats and had to have a gendarme assigned to him. With Top leaders making derogatory comments and saying he is not welcome, it could be that this makes the fans in the mountains already bold from drink even more dangerous. Hateful thoughts accumulate.
