It seems to me that the available choices are fun, science, and fantasy. 

Until we discover more Phaistos-like texts, there is only finite and 

unfortunately quite small amount of science that can be discussed, The Phaïstos Disk

but there is always plenty of scope for more fun and/or fantasy. 

 

Many people refuse to waste their time with fantasies and thus 

 

 

the only option available to them is having fun. And why not ? 

If there were no people poking fun at the issue the casual 

browsers like me could start believing the fantasies.
