Bonjour,

1. « I presume Bush & Blair will be joining Hussein on the scaffold ? »
William Fletcher Recommended by 368 people
2. "Let me get this straight ! Most people never heard of Saddam Hussein before Bush senior invaded Iraq. We invaded his country twice, accused him of having weapons of mass destruction, accused him of being linked to 9/11,killed most of his family and now we’re sentencing him to death ?I don’t support Hussein at all, but to be sentenced to death is a bit over the top. Why didn’t they sentence Harry S. Truman when he incinerated Hiroshima and Nagasaki ? Why was Pinochet so protected in England ?"
Alex Gache, Netherlands Recommended by 328 people
3. "Make absolutely no mistake - this is not a verdict, it is an assassination. Killing Sadam prevents him from telling any stories about U.S arms dealings to journalists from his prison cell."
Matthew, Chicago Recommended by 316 people

Yitzhak Isaac Goldstein, Israel Recommended by 299 people

Sam, Essex Recommended by 293 people

Gerry, Glasgow Recommended by 263 people
7. « There is no doubt that Saddam was an exceptionally cruel dictator bur he should not be subject to capital punishment. He should be kept in prison so that he can appear as one of the main prosecution witnesses at the war crime trials of George Bush and Tony Blair. »
Emelle, London Recommended by 261 people
8. « Saddam Hussain and President Bush should be prosecuted together. Both are criminals to humanity. »
Ali Ahmed, Kuwait Recommended by 256 people
9. « The International community MUST keep an eye on Bush and Blair as well. It must be them next. They are worse than Saddam NO DOUBT ! »
Francis Chishimba, Rome, Italy Recommended by 211 people

Alan. Paris, France. Recommended by 210 people
11. « When do we trial » the other« criminals : George Bush, Tony Blair, Henry Kissinger,Donald Rumsfel, Oliver North, John Negroponte.. ? S.Hussein’s crimes are nothing compared to the one committed by these Western barbarians, whereby they are responsible for the killing of hundred of thousands, disappearances, torture, the uprooting of entire nations and the destruction and separation of families,...includying my own,...I hope I can see at least one of these men hanged before I die. »
Carlos Flores, Vancouver, Canada Recommended by 209 people
12. "You won’t print this but my comment is as follows. Do these people in power think we were born yesterday. It is absolute rubbish that this guy should be murdered in this way Bush, Blair and Hussain are all as bad as each other."
David Green, Warrington Recommended by 207 people
13. « Typical America. Install a dictator, then when he gets a bit too big for his boots, bring him down in a bloodbath. »
Nik, london, uk Recommended by 194 people
14. « Any court that uses the death penalty is a travesty in itself. If we ever needed any more proof that the trial of Hussein is a farce, now we have it. Disgusting. »
Ralph, Zurich, Switzerland Recommended by 191 people
15. "The conviction and punishment of Saddam Houssain will change nothing in Iraq. While he was a terrible person, gassing the Kurds, his secret police kidnapping, raping, and executing civilians on his order, the country is much worse today. Killing Saddam will do nothing, if he is released he will be killed on the street, and the country is so fractured he wouldn’t even be able to restore order. It’s a sad irony that the United States put this man in power so many years ago, creating stability, just to remove him and cause such terrible chaos."
Damon Harlan Thomas, Fairbanks, Alaska, United States Recommended by 174 people
