thank you Clair for your reacting, Sorry , there was no sarcasm at all in what I wrote... Probably a little anger. french hating (or dislicking)amercicans is i’m afraid not that much a cliche not more than french dislicking the brits , but as I said I like americans and get mocked at because of it...

I found this (maybe bad) idea of Alice in Wonderland but it applied to both you and Maxime... I tried to correct you on Degaule and somme others who actually in deed had a job for life from birth.. As you know Maxime is very brilliant, but makes me very sad and even upset when he lacks so much sympathy for the greatest part of whitchever population, French US or any other.

Misreading parti for patrie is not your fault, in anyway, nevertheless the difference in culture explains your mistake but you are not to blame at all for it... I said you did’nt understand our country nore yours and as you seem to agree hardly anybody does... so again sorry but this is an important issue for people like myself and I feel I must make my point clear.. Maxime is brilliant but I try and point to him that he needs to work on the same, understanding different cultures.... I also said he has the brains and the moral means to succed in it...

Anyway, thanks again Clair and forgive my being rude if you think I was... By the way I read how nicely Cecile answerd you and she, like others who disagree with Maxime, I feel, has very relevant things to say.....
